Our Story

Southern Fresh Bins was founded in late 2025 to solve a simple but overlooked problem: valet trash bins are required in many communities, yet residents have no convenient way to keep them clean. Over time, bins accumulate grime, bacteria, and odors. Apartment sinks are too small, showers aren’t designed for trash bins, and most residents don’t have access to a hose. This leaves residents with neglected bins that compromise personal hygiene, shared hallways, and the overall quality of community living.

After searching for a recurring trash bin cleaning service—similar to what already exists in single-family residential neighborhoods—founder Kevin Molnar discovered that no such option was available for valet trash communities. That gap in the market sparked the idea for Southern Fresh Bins...

Kevin founded Southern Fresh Bins in late 2025 after experiencing a problem many apartment residents quietly deal with every day. Living in a valet trash community, he noticed that while valet trash bins are required, yet there’s no easy or reliable way to keep them clean. Instead of ignoring the issue, Kevin started asking questions—talking directly with apartment residents and surveying hundreds of people to understand whether others felt the same frustration. The answer was clear. That feedback became the foundation for Southern Fresh Bins: a simple, dependable solution built around real customer needs.

Originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey, Kevin was raised in Waxhaw, North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte. He earned a degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After graduating, Kevin was selected for Synchrony Financial’s Business Leadership Program (Finance Track), a competitive two-year rotational program. Kevin later earned his MBA from Wake Forest University to further strengthen his strategic and leadership capabilities. Today, he brings firsthand customer insight, disciplined execution, and a practical startup mindset to building Southern Fresh Bins—focusing on reliable service, earning customer trust, and solving a real operational problem with efficiency and care.
